Young marine enthusiasts will be captivated by a week of fun and exploration! Campers will be immersed in the world of marine sciences by taking fieldtrips to the Gulfport Beach, Ship Island, Kayaking, and along the bay on the IMMS Curlew pontoon boat. During these excursions, students will study local flora and fauna, enjoy fishing, crabbing, testing water samples, and experience the fun of seining, sieving, and beach combing. In addition to exploring the shrimping industry on a newly incorporated Shrimp Tour, students will learn to appreciate local habitats and ecosystems, and stewardship through hands-on learning experiences guided by knowledgeable staff.
