IMMS hosted it’s third “Take Pride in the Tide” Beach Clean-up on July 18, 2009. This year’s event was a great success! We had an amazing turnout, with 107 participants!  In fact, everyone was so diligent, that we collected a total of 120 bags of trash!  To make the event an even more rewarding experience, many local businesses participated by donating either supplies for the cleanup or raffle prizes that participants won.

When IMMS originally organized this event, we committed to cleaning 5 miles of beach stretching from the I-110 loop (next to the Beau Rivage Hotel) to the Surf Style store in Biloxi.  However, with so many participants we were able to pass our 5-mile mark and continue west approximately 2 more miles.
